Army base attack in Danboa leaves Tinubu demanding investigation into deaths of soldiers

Six courageous soldiers were killed in a dawn raid on an army base in Sabon Gidan, Damboa, last Saturday. Yesterday, President Bola Tinubu ordered an exhaustive investigation to determine what happened.

President Tinubu expressed his condolences to the military for the loss and ordered an investigation into the tragedy to make sure it would not happen again.

He praised the military for their quick and effective response, especially the air component, which carried out successful retaliatory strikes with targeted air raids, crushing a large number of terrorists and destroying their assets as they tried to escape.

Particularly in the North West, where innocent peasants’ lives and homes are still threatened by criminals, the President ordered the military to aggressively carry the war to the camps of bandits and terrorists.

“This determined action by the Army shows the capability and readiness of our military to confront and defeat threats to our nation’s security,” he observed. Their deeds demonstrate our will to root out banditry and terrorism, clearing the path for a Nigerian future free of fear.

“We are fully committed to supporting you in your continued efforts to eradicate these dangers, and your selflessness and commitment are deeply appreciated.”

According to a statement issued by Mr. Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, expressing condolences to the families of the dead soldiers, the warriors who gave their lives in defense of the nation will always be remembered and honored.

He pleaded with the media and Nigerians to back the military in their fight for security and peace.
