Dangote Refinery, in partnership with Neptune Oil, has successfully completed the first-ever export of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from Nigeria to Cameroon.

This groundbreaking achievement highlights a strategic collaboration between the two companies, demonstrating their shared commitment to fostering stronger economic ties between Nigeria and Cameroon while addressing the region’s rising energy needs.

Aliko Dangote, President and CEO of Dangote Group, expressed his enthusiasm, stating:

“This first export of PMS to Cameroon is a tangible demonstration of our vision for a united and energy-independent Africa. With this development, we are laying the foundation for a future where African resources are refined and exchanged within the continent for the benefit of our people.”

Antoine Ndzengue, Director and Owner of Neptune Oil, hailed the partnership, adding:

“This collaboration with Dangote Refinery is a significant turning point for Cameroon. By becoming the first importer of petroleum products from this world-class refinery, we are strengthening our energy security and fostering local economic growth. The initial supply, conducted without international intermediaries, underscores our commitment to serving our markets independently and efficiently.”

The statement emphasized that this partnership is just the beginning. Dangote Refinery and Neptune Oil are exploring further initiatives to establish a stable fuel supply chain aimed at stabilizing fuel prices and driving economic opportunities across the region.

For Nigeria, this export solidifies Dangote Refinery’s position as a regional energy powerhouse, showcasing its capacity to meet domestic fuel demands while supporting neighboring countries with high-quality, locally refined petroleum products. This milestone marks a pivotal step in enhancing Africa’s self-sufficiency in energy production and distribution.
